Marketing executives from top financial institutions to produce propriety research and thought leadership around US-focused industry insights

New York, NY – May 9, 2012 – The Financial Communications Society ("FCS") today announced the formation of the FCS Marketing Leadership Roundtable ("FCS Roundtable"), an exclusive group of senior marketing executives from some of the world's top financial institutions who will engage with each other for discussions and shared insights that elevate best practices in their profession.

The core mission of the FCS Roundtable is to develop and promote thought leadership for best-in-class marketing and communications, ranging from branding and advertising to public relations and social media. The FCS Roundtable will also produce proprietary research to create dialogue around the current challenges and ongoing issues that confront leaders in the U.S. financial-services marketing industry.

"Since 1967, the FCS has served as the financial industry's premier voice for marketing professionals, and it is only fitting that we create this think-tank to continue to enhance our knowledge base," said Kevin Windorf, President, Financial Communications Society. "The entire FCS membership will benefit from the Roundtable's shared insights."

The founding members of the FCS Roundtable include:

"The FCS Roundtable will be an excellent catalyst to elevate conversations around the issues of financial marketing and communications in this tumultuous economy," said Tom Jago, FCS Board member, head of the FCS Roundtable's Steering Committee and Managing Director at The Ward Group. In addition to Jago, the FCS Roundtable's Steering Committee comprises Christine Bacon and Matthew Hickerson, also FCS Board members, along with marketing and communications executives from The Wall Street Journal, Edelman and its research consulting division, StrategyOne. The Steering Committee will work together to coordinate the FCS Roundtable's activities, including publication and dissemination of thought leadership and survey results.
